Mobile App Engineer
We are seeking a Mobile App Engineer with proven experience building cross‑platform applications using Capacitor, React, and Next.js alongside native iOS and Android development. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of mobile architectures and a track record of delivering performant, user‑friendly apps. You will be the go‑to mobile expert in Engineering, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to bring new features to life.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
· Develop and maintain Capacitor‑based mobile apps, leveraging React/Next.js for UI and native modules for platform‑specific features;
· Manage release cycle and deployment to app stores for mobile applications;
· Own the mobile component of our push notification engine, via Apple APNS and FCM on Firebase;
· Collaborate with UX/UI designers and engineers to implement mobile features;
· Monitor app health via analytics and crash reporting, and drive performance optimizations.
IF YOU HAVE
· Deep expertise with Capacitor framework, React, and Next.js in a mobile context;
· React Native, iOS (Swift/Objective‑C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) development experience;
· Proficiency with CI/CD tools and release cycles to mobile app stores;
· Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication and data integration patterns;
· Hands‑on experience implementing push notifications and messaging workflows (Courier, APNS, FCM);
· Experience with JIRA or other similar tools;
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
· Excellent command of written and spoken English.
NICE TO HAVE
· Familiarity with TypeScript, state management and design systems (e.g. MUI);
· Experience with automated testing frameworks (XCTest, Espresso, Playwright);
· Exposure to serverless architectures or deployment platforms (e.g., Vercel);
· Experience with WebAssembly;
· Background in data‑heavy applications, analytics instrumentation, or financial/energy markets;
· Knowledge of offline sync strategies and mobile performance profiling tools.
