PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 

The project involves the development of a digital platform designed to streamline the charter cargo booking process for freight forwarders. Acting as an aggregator, the solution consolidates offerings from multiple cargo aircraft operators, enabling freight forwarders to efficiently search, compare, and book air cargo charters that best match their logistics needs. The platform significantly enhances speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in the booking process. While business requirements and design are owned by the client, Opinov8 is fully responsible for project management, business analysis, solution architecture, and delivery.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js for a digital platform that connects freight forwarders with cargo aircraft operators;
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party services including Gmail API;
• Implement LLM-powered features for intelligent parsing of email content;
• Develop intelligent parsing of email content to identify booking requests, extract key entities, and suggest missing information;
• Collaborate on systems that enable scoring engines, incorporating historical data and prediction models;
• Build features for real-time dashboards, quote visualizations, and internal note management to improve team collaboration;
• Ensure robust data management and email storage logic;
• Participate in design discussions, technical planning, code reviews, and mentoring.

IF YOU HAVE:

• A senior-level backend engineer with 4+ years of Node.js experience, capable of owning end-to-end backend feature delivery;
• Skilled in designing and building RESTful APIs, integrating third-party services (like Gmail API), and handling asynchronous operations;
• Comfortable working with complex business logic, data processing, and email workflow automation;
• Experienced with PostgreSQL, or similar databases; familiar with indexing, full-text search, and query optimization;
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating closely with BAs, PMs, and architects;
• Enthusiastic about clean code, performance optimization, and high-quality engineering standards;
• Proficiency in English (Upper Intermediate level) for effective client communication.
